Condolences
Our heart goes out to Steve Heuslein at the loss of his Paso Fino gelding Flying M Libertador ("Lib"), who died due to colic over the weekend. He was 13 years old. Steve had owned him since he was 6. Lib was one of Steve's favorite trail horses because he was "like a little steam engine" and had a lot of heart. It is difficult to loose a horse that we've developed such a great relationship with. Steve will remain in our thoughts and prayers . . .

Thank you all for your kind thoughts.
ReplyDeleteIt's very hard to lose a trusted steed, even when you own multiple horses. They get to be just like part of your family...
Take care,
Steve Heuslein
HI there,
ReplyDeletethis item caught my eye on the google alert page, as I have a horse at the farm here named Flying M Libertadora... I wonder if she is a full sis and so named so similarly? Sorry to hear about your horse... what were his bloodlines?
Her is a link to "Tadora"...

Hi Camilla,
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your condolences.
My horse, "Flying M Libertador" was foaled at James Sievers' Flying M Ranch in Livingston, Montana on July 4, 1996. His sire was Novicio de Las Casas and his dam was La Patrona de Plebeyo. My gelding was Bay in color, just like both his parents. I'm going to miss him a lot.
Best Wishes,
Steve Heuslein
