Monsoon

We consider ourselves fortunate to have survived Kentucky's torrential rains with only a wet basement. Over 6 inches of rain fell in our area in just two days. Robert added some downspouts to the barn and had some excavation work done to allow for water run-off just last month. Fortunately, our stalls stayed pretty dry this time. Thanks to the generosity of our neighbors, we had a pump that removed the standing water at the foot of our outside basement entrance. A wet/dry vac removed most of the water from the carpet. While it is a smelly mess, nothing down there was destroyed. Robert, Mike, and Charlie are all outside riding horses today in the sunshine.
